Contemporary copper work that honors the past.
The Carnegie Public Library, now the Wexford County Historical Society Museum, is a beloved and recognizable building in downtown Cadillac, Michigan. After the dome and surrounding stepped shelves had fallen into disrepair, Buist Sheet Metal was hired to replace the original metal work with new copper. The work on the new copper dome and shelves was completed in September 2009. The superb workmanship was formally recognized in 2010, winning an Excellence in Construction Award with the judges noting that our work was an example of “true old fashioned craftsmanship.”
